Make a papier mache loon from plastic grocery bags and wire hangers!

My Creation

I made some loons out of papier mache. They were made from wire hangers, old newspapers, plastic grocery bags and some paint. All the things used were things that would normally be thrown out. It was a fun way to do some recycling.

The hardest part was waiting for the papier mache to dry, but I put it in the cupboard with the central heating boiler overnight and that worked fine.

I made several loons and now they lurk about on top of cupboards and in the bathroom at my house!

As usual my cat was very interested in the whole project!

For detailed instructions on how I made my loons here is the website

This is fabulous. I have a small collection of loon items as it is the Canadian national bird and I have family there. You are very talented.
