Big and Lil Sisters

My Creation

This set is for a little girl with a neuroblastoma and her older sister. The requester was looking for something small and portable that the girl could play with in the hospital.

The dolls are from an Annie's Attic Pattern for "paper" dolls that are crocheted! I created the clothing myself and hand sewed them. All items including the dolls are washable. Inside the doll is a framework of chenille sticks so that her arms and legs are pose-able.

The lavender dress is crocheted in a soft silky yarn that has a silver thread running through it - I found it in my stash. The edging is a soft, furry yarn. The tutu is made from a green tulle that has sparkles in it. I had the gold ribbon in my lace stash. The clothes are made from fat quarters. All clothes fasten with snaps but I sewed tiny buttons over the snaps to make them look finished.
