My Creation:
Alyssa is in need of a few clothes - Grace has usually handed over hers when she's outgrown them, but Alyssa has caught up, widthwise. Anyway, in the charity shop and saw the tartan-type fabric and thought - KILT!!! So here is the kilt I've made for Alyssa No kilt pin will be added - safety precautions - remember this is the Demolition Demon we're talking about!!!
The plaid fabric was originally a pair of curtains - got plenty left for more makes. Apologies to the Scottish creators on this site, I know that kilts are traditionally made from woollen fabric BUT I did make alyssa kneel on the floor so that I could get the length correct AND I did make sure that there was plenty for the pleats too! In fact we can move the button and the inside fastener when Alyssa gets 'wider'. More than enough for a couple of years AND the hem can be let down too............
Mel says she loves it and will be so plesed to bring it back to me to have the pleats ironed!!!!!!!!!!!
