Fabulous design and at 6ft long surely it'll keep more than your head warm!!!
You could put it round your nek, cross at the front, bring it around to the back, fasten with a big brooch and you'll have a waist coat!!!

As South Africa is just going into winter, I am very jealous of your gorgeous scarf. I think I will have to try knitting agin. My knitting usually ends up looking like a dogs breakfast, much to my mum's disgust!!
