My Creation:
I made this dress today, it took me about 4 1/2 hours and was quite easy to make. Its the first thing I've sewn in years apart from a few bags. Its from a book of one piece patterns I bought a little while ago. I adapted the pattern slightly as in the book they used bias binding round neck and arm holes and I faced mine with fabric on the inside, I also put some thin elastic round the middle on the inside to help gather it evenly and added a belt, in the book the just tied with a ribbon.
Its made from a red and white polycotton fabric which cost me about four pounds The elastic was 50p and cotton the same so it's a bit of a bargain dress.
