Flower power elephants

My Creation

This little elephant is probably one of many I intend to knit. The pattern is available free from the designer for personal, gift or charity use.
It takes very little yarn and some fibrefill stuffing. The pattern called for knitting in the round, but it was too small for me to do that, so I just knitted it in the flat! I used some needles belonging to my mum, I think they are old UK size 12 and are very thin. I think you need to use small needles for this, as it could come out huge and a bit overpowering on large needles!

The purple elephant was knitted on 3 mm needles and came out slightly larger, but it was much easier to knit on these needles than the smaller ones.

If you want to knit this pattern you can e-mail the designers at
ela.elk@gmail.com

and it will be sent quickly.
