Topsy Turvy..Part One

My Creation

This orange rose is just a practice run and turned out so well for a first attempt I had to have them on Abby's cake even though time consuming but so simple to make.
Here are lots drying out and sectional bows.

I was so involved with the cake construction I "forgot" to take pics of the process so here are pics of sections of the completed cake.

About 20 roses and three bows and stars..infact I went wild with the design.

This style of cake requires cutting to shape consequently I'm rather full of "testing" the taste of the chocolate, orange, vanilla and marbled cakes!!!
Oh yes and I tasted the butter cream even though I'm not a great fan of the stuff!!

All thes cakes are amazing - I love the black and white colour schemes. I've made roses in the past and they were very fiddly!

Hey, you ever need sombody to taste for you I VOLUNTEER! I made roses for my elder daughters wedding cake - very time consuming. Yours are brilliant!!

I could do with a volunteur or two to stop me from tasting the cakes just to make sure they were worth eating as I did eat too much and, I ate the butter cream (made with the real butter) that I'm not overly's just too easy to pop stuff in your mouth when doing this sort of thing!!! Thanks for all your lovely comments.
