A Sunday afternoon with beads

My Creation

I had an order for a necklace with seed beads on Sunday so while I had my bead spinner out I couldn't resist a little play and made two multi strand necklaces. The black one is 3 rows of seed beads and 3 rows of bugle beads and the gold one is 4 rows of seed beads. I also made a couple of bracelets and bobbles.

I've added a picture of beadspiner. Its easy to use, put small beads in dish part of it and thread needle, hold needle near end of straight edge with curved end in dish near to bottom and close to rim edge, then turn long handle so dish starts spinning, the beads move outwards and more or less jump on to needle, then you just slide them down needle onto thread. it takes a bit of practice to get speed right and angle of needle but once you get it its great fun and a really quick way of threading lots of little beads. I've recetly discovered its better to thread needle onto thread without cutting it off the bobbin as it acts as a bead stopper, then when you get desired length add callotte and crimp at needle end first then unravel a bit more thread from spool cut off and add callote and crimp at that end.
