This is the next photo of our second of four rehomed hens, HEDRA! She has since debunked Verity from her spot as top hen and is now the leader of our flock and let me tell you, she rules with a beak of iron. The world knows that Hedra is in charge, apart from Big Laurel of course, the leader of one of our flocks, who caught her through the wire, and despite being a little ill, put her right in her place. Typical Big Laurel!
Through all the brawn, Hedra is really quite sensitive and is just really a little jealous of our affections. She's cooing and honking constantly to be stroked and is a half hen half gannet, or appears that way with her appetitve. She loves nothing better than adopting the 'I'm the queen of the castle' pose. by standing high up on the coop ramp, or even better, on the logs in the middle of the paddock.
Hedra will be a blondie bombshell when she gets all her feathers back.
