About me: Hello to all fellow crafters out there. I live in the UK in the West Midlands region, which is in central England for anyone looking at this from abroad. I have two children aged 24 and 21, work and study have ment they have both moved to the South of England, so do not get to see them as much as I would like, but as least have the luxury of phone calls and emails. I like to keep fit and cycle to work (it is quite close!) as well as general scenic walking when I get the time. I am married and though my partner does not do any crafts loves to see the work I do. We have Zeus, a German Shepherd dog, he is a really good companion. He has already featured on this site and will no doubt feature again, he certainly has his own personality. I enjoy doing all kinds of crafts and could be classed as a bit of a dabler. I make birthday, christmas cards etc. I always have a number of knitting projects on the go, though at the moment I have had to put these under the bed as I just do not have spare time to do them. I have re started small sewing projects this year and have treated myself to a sewing machine so am looking forward to doing more sewing projects. I have also gone back to dress making and get such a thrill from making things to go out in. I also like to keep scrap books and have about 3 on the go for various things, I just wish I had started years ago to capture all those memorable times. I have joined a Milliney course at my local college this September, 2009, and am really loving it. I had hoped to also enrole in the dressmaking course but it was fully booked, so hope to do that one next year. I have been doing crafts for over 20 years and I find that through some challenging times in my life I am able to do some type of craft to keep me focused. I have really loved displaying my crafty bits on busymitts, as it makes me smile every time I see my work on screen and it also makes me feel a buzz. I really enjoy looking at everyones projects and how positive and friendly we all are. I have also recently returned to playing my clarinet and getting to grips with improving my music reading. I also working towards buying a digital piano as I so want to learn, but cannot afford it yet, though the deadline is my 50th birthday in 4 years. Happy crafting to you all and I cannot wait to see all your lovely projects.
